4 weeks | Wednesdays | May 20-June 10 | 6-8:30pm
Level: Beginner and beyond
Ages 18+
Instructor: Matt Borruso
Drawing is the primary visual language and foundation for all visual representation. It is a process and a skill which demands a heightened sense of observation and a deep contemplative engagement with the world around us. In this brief class we will work to sharpen our sense of observation and endeavor to “see” more, recognizing underlying patterns and basic forms, as well as identifying the lights, shadows, and complex textures that give shape to our physical environment. These observations will be translated from eye to hand, and pencil to paper creating representations of a three-dimensional world onto a two dimensional surface.
All materials provided.

It’s important that students attend the first class. Classes missed after the first class can be made up during the current session in a couple of different ways: 1) You can ask your instructor during the next class to briefly get you up to speed after the day’s demo, or 2) If there’s a similar workshop running during the same session, you may sit in on a class, space allowing.
Please talk to your instructor to find the best option.
