This is a workshop for absolute beginners or those in need of a refresh!
Have you always wanted to try the pottery wheel? Can't stop thinking about The Great Pottery Thrown Down? We have a solution!
Our experienced instructors will teach you how to center clay, bring up the walls, and shape it into your very own pot. Each student will get to keep two hand-thrown pieces to take home and cherish. Sign up now to discover the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands.
Tie back long hair, wear comfy clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, trim long fingernails, and bring a bevvie.
Pots are ready for pick up 2-3 weeks after the workshop. You have 30 days to pick up your work once it’s ready.

You may cancel up to 72 hours before your class start date to receive a full refund or a credit, minus a $20 cancellation fee. Transfers are not allowed.
Cancellations made outside of the 72 hour window are non-refundable and non-transferable.

This one-time workshop is a chance for adults + kiddos to have a blast together on the wheel!
Are you looking for something extra special to do with that crafty kid in your life? Are you both curious about the wheel? Join artist and studio owner Holly Coley for an immersive clay experience for you and your little one. We will explore the pottery wheel through both adult and child eyes. A fun tactile experience for all ages. Make pots with your little one during this unique artist led clay experience.

Join us for some carefree community knitting time! Speckle Member Lina will gather us together for some casual knitting and good conversation. Bring your new/aspirational/ongoing project, a friend, a bevvie, and a snack :)

Prior clay experience required.
NOTE: This workshop is for people who have experience throwing with 2-5 lbs of clay.
Join us for this two-day intensive workshop—Aug 28th-29th—with Russian artist Kseniya Polyakova, hosting her second series of workshops in the United States! Whether you’re new to clay or an experienced potter, you’re certain to walk away with new skills and a better understanding of how to build larger forms on the potter’s wheel.
Participants will have unlimited clay to practice with during the course.
Time: 10 am–6 pm (with a 1-hour lunch break)
Please note before registering: To keep the cost of the course down, your registration does not include the firing of work made during the workshop. Students are welcome to take their favorite project with them or pay the studio a firing fee to have them bisque fired.
DAY 1
Demonstration 2 hours:
• Spiral wedge clay;
• Cut-wedge clay technique;
• Clay centring, working with a 4.5 pounds;
• Pottery technique of raising the wall and making a cylinder, working with 4.5 weight
Practice : 2 hours;
Lunch;
Demonstration 1 hour:
• Making a vase from 8 lbs of clay;
• Making a Moon jar from 11 lbs of clay;
Practice : 3 hours.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 30 days before the course begins are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee. Transfers are not allowed. These policies help us support our staff and the studio. Thanks for your understanding.
