August 17-21
Let your kid spend their break getting messy, creative, and hands on at Speckle Studio’s Clay Camp! Designed for ages 10-14, this week-long camp introduces students to the magic of the pottery wheel while exploring all the ways clay can be used for storytelling, self-expression, and imaginative play.
Campers will learn wheel basics—centering, pulling up walls, shaping forms, and trimming—while also experimenting with hand building techniques. Each day includes guided skill-building, creative prompts, and plenty of studio time to explore personal style. From funky cups and small bowls to creature-inspired sculptures, texture studies, and expressive surface design, they’ll bring all their ideas to life!
Kids will also learn about ceramic processes like drying, firing, and glazing. They’ll finish pieces with colorful underglazes and glazes that highlight their unique voice. Throughout the week, campers build confidence, patience, and pride in making functional art they can actually use—and take home.
What kids will learn
