Instructor: Ellena Ruiz
After School Arts Enrichment with local artist, Ellena Ruiz, creates a space for artists aged 7-12 to expand their creative capacity through lessons that teach about artists’ work and techniques utilized by professionals. Students engage in project-based learning and structured studio time to experiment and have fun. Through weekly art practice, students build skills such as persistence, observation, conceptualization, and cultivation of craft. We strive for an inclusive and fostering space for youth to grow comfortably through ceramic endeavors. Instructors encourage investigation during class time with emphasis on the process of art-making instead of product.
