Ceramic Supper Club: Six For Supper & Katie Thrash
Saturday | March 21st | 5:30-8:30pm
Ages 18+
Visiting Artists: Chef Nicola & Katie Thrash
We’re thrilled to present the menu and artists for our very first Ceramic Supper Club! Featuring food prepared and served by Chef Nicola of Six for Supper, and a nerikomi demo by artist Katie Thrash, this will surely be a night to savor.
For this collaboration with Speckle, Nicola is cultivating an evening where guests shape something with their hands, and then gather around the table to share a four course meal.
Two acts of making, one evening of connection.
Before dinner, Katie Thrash will be leading a nerikomi workshop where you’ll create a beautiful ring bowl before sitting down to their four course meal with Nicola.
And bonus! Katie thoughtfully created all the dinnerware for this event!!
Meet Chef Nicola
Nicola grew up between Hong Kong and London before building a corporate career across the U.S. After years in the that world, she was ready for something different—something more aligned with her passion for cooking.
She started Six for Supper—a space for intimate, convivial gatherings with delicious food. Her style is elegant but unfussy, with global influences that reflect the places she's lived and loved. She hosts private dinners, cooking classes, and supper clubs for small groups—just enough for one great conversation.
Meet Katie Thrash
After a successful career as a designer for renowned brands like The North Face, Gap, and Guess, Katie's fascination with ceramics led her to explore the traditional Japanese technique of Nerikomi. This labor-intensive method involves layering and manipulating colored clay to create mesmerizing patterns and designs. She started Shady Clay to embody these harmonious blends of colors, patterns, and textures in clay.
Bon Appétit!
